SPECIES DESCRIPTION: This perennial is common in coastal locations and in salt marshes where it is quite at home growing in brackish mud or sand. The leaves are fleshy and the flowers rather ragged looking with prominent yellow disc florets in the centre and very pale lilac outer ray florets.
