EUPHORBIA: One of the largest genus in the world being found on almost every continent. The flower structure is similar in all the different species.
SPECIES DESCRIPTION: One of the most common species which all vary in size, height and flower/bract and nectary colour. Most of these come from Mediterranean areas such as Turkey, Greece, Portugal and many of the Islands.
CULTIVATION: Best grown in a sheltered position in full sun on well drained soil. Tolerant of acid or alkaline soils and can cope well with drought conditions.
USES: A good plant for a flower bed or gravel garden. Makes a good feature plant and the leaf colour makes a good contrast with grasses or other perennials.
