LUCILIA:
SPECIES DESCRIPTION: Bluish green to emerald, often becoming coppery with age. Eggs are laid on rotting flesh, upon which the maggots feed when hatched. Live flesh is not attacked. The adults visit a wide variety of flowers. It is found on dung and carrion everywhere, but not often found indoors.
