PRIMULA:

SPECIES DESCRIPTION: Herbaceous perennial forming a clump of leaves up to 30cm across and, in spring, pale yellow flowers. Common in hedgerows and woodlands in the UK. Grows in full sun or partial shade. Prefers moist soil, but can tolerate summer drought. Seeds freely and interbreeds with cultivated primulas to produce plants with flowers ranging from pure white through shades of buff and pink, to bright pink.
